Departures: A Tribute to Fine Art Faculty in Transition

"Departures is dedicated to honoring the invaluable contributions of Elizabethtown College’s fine arts faculty. Inspired by mass layoffs of Elizabethtown College's Arts and Humanities faculty, this exhibition seeks to celebrate the profound influence these educators have had on their students and the arts community. Amid current challenges in arts education, we strive to increase awareness about the essential role of creative faculty and advocate for the preservation and support of art programs within educational institutions."

This exhibition was curated and directed by Gienah Sonnema, and is the first student led exhibition held at Elizabethtown College. It featured a number of student work across classes and majors, all from students directly impacted by the tutelage and mentorship of Fine Art faculty.
